Raffles Praslin hosts a Creole Beach Festival and Creole Ball
Raffles Praslin announced a spectacular programme of festivities, taking place on Friday, 31st of October 2014, on the occasion of the 29th edition of Festival Kreol. A Creole Beach Festival will take place during the day at Anse Takamaka, and in the evening, a Creole Ball and Halloween Party will bring on a festive atmosphere for the local community and hotel’s guests to enjoy in the stunning surroundings of the resort
Losean restaurant Night
Kicking off at 12:00pm the Creole Beach Festival, is the perfect occasion for family and friends to gather in a lively and entertaining atmosphere, with a Creole fiesta & barbecue, a Creole market showcasing local creations of art and crafts, and traditional games such as “Konos” and “Lastik” organized in collaboration with the Women in Action and Solidarity Organization (WASO). Children can also enjoy beach games and storytelling, to learn more about the local folklore, and stories about Praslin and other islands.
The Creole Beach Festival will run until 6pm, and Seychelles residents can enjoy special promotions at Pti Zil Beach Bar, with 50% off on all beers and soft drinks, and a selection of flavoured Mojitos for only SCR 80.
The Creole celebration will continue at Takamaka Terrace, the resort’s sublime panoramic rooftop lounge, and Losean Restaurant, for the Creole Ball & Halloween Party. At 6.30pm, a cocktail reception and exhibition of artworks by local painters Raymond Dubuisson and Rita Morel, will take place at the lounge, followed by a Moutya performance, organized in collaboration with WASO. When it comes to Creole gastronomy, Losean Restaurant will showcase a sumptuous buffet of traditional Creole specialties.
To party the night away in Creole style, renowned local artist Joseph Sinon & Tanmi Band will be performing the best local hits, for an unforgettable cabaret night at Takamaka Terrace. The local community and guests will enjoy a vibrant atmosphere, to the rhythm of local music, and the perfect conclusion to the 29th edition of Festival Kreol.
To enjoy the full programme of the Creole Ball and Halloween Party from 6.30pm to 2am, including buffet dinner at Losean - SCR 800 per adult and SCR 400 per child (4 to 11 years old). For the Creole Ball & Halloween Party at Takamaka Terrace from 9.30pm to 02am - SCR 200 per adult and SCR 100 per child (4 to 11 years old). Special promotions for the local community include “Buy one get one free” on cocktails and special prices on beers.
As part of its involvement in Festival Kreol, Raffles Praslin is also supporting the traditional Creole Wedding ceremony showcase, organized by WASO, taking place on Sunday, 26th October at 2pm, at the St. Joseph Church, Grand Anse Praslin, followed by a reception at the district Community Centre.
