The island of Reunion is the best volcanic destination in the world! This is the opinion of members of the Wayn website, a social network for travellers, with over 23 million people covering over 193 countries. Nominated as one of the top 7 most beautiful volcanic destinations in the world, Reunion faced strong competition from countries including the Philippines, Tanzania, Costa Rica and Japan.

More than 10,000 votes were cast to elect the most beautiful volcanic destination in the world!

The island of Reunion came out top of the league and won the title of ‘best volcanic destination in the world’, with nearly 1,000 more votes than Japan, which came in second place. 2,426 users, or 23% of participants, put Reunion Island at the top of their list!

In 2013, Reunion was voted ’the most beautiful island in the world’ by members of Wayn. Since then, Reunion Island has continued to win fans amongst members of this influential social network, which is dedicated to travellers across the globe. Even though more than 7,000 members have already visited Reunion, more than 273,000 have put this French Indian Ocean island on their wish list!
