At the WTM show in London, Madagascar was awarded First Prize for World Responsible Tourism 2015 in the ‘Best for Wildlife Conservation’category.

This honour is a suitable reward for their efforts over several years in this domain. It has enabled the country to achieve the strategic position desired by the Minister of Tourism, Transport and Meteorology, Mr. Ulrich Andriantiana. Madagascar’s authorities are demonstrating their awareness of the need to preserve the country’s legendary biodiversity. It is going in the right direction as the Vanilla Islands are promoting ecotourism.
