On October 25 and 26, Marie-Eve and Mathilde Hoarau defended the colors of Reunion Island at the Long Beach Open Tennis Legend G2. On site, Réunion Island has once again scooped the top of the podium against the best players in the world.
Respectively, eighth and sixth in the world, Marie-Eve and Hoarau Mathilde wore the colors of Reunion Island during the Mauritian sand event. During the first day, the Honorary Ambassadors of Reunion Island won two games each in two sets: the first against a Mauritian/Russian pair (6-0, 6-1) and the second against a pair of Reunionese (6 -0, 6-1).
During the second day, they met in the semi-final a Franco-Russian pair who must bow in straight sets (6-1; 6-1) to face Réunion Island, intractable. In the final, they faced their counterparts Coll and Fox. Faced with Réunion Island, Marie-Eve and Mathilde Hoarau were needed on the score of 6-1; 7-5.
It was “a great adventure” as Hoarau binoculars will now fly to Thailand by the end of 2014. Do not miss the adventures of these Honorary Ambassadors at the meeting on Thai sand. “Go Reunion!” said Marie-Eve and Mathilde Hoarau.
